Email Problems, MySpace and a little more....

OK, so we disocvered an issue with the emial link here on the site that goes back to our service provider. Until the issue is worked out please contact us over at our all new MySpace site here:

www.myspace.com/captainpixel

We have pictures, videos, and more recent blog posts there. We may eventually move everything over there as much as I hate working with the clunky Myspace interface. Other than that we are still sending "A Cheaper Way to Go" to festivals and we have another short doc in the works as well as a television series pitch coming together. More when we are allowed to talk about it!

A Cheaper Way to Go in MS

We jsut returned from Mississippi where we attended the Magnolia Film Festival! Our latest short film, A Cheaper Way to Go had a fantastic screening at the fest. While there we also shot a video blog for The Documentary Channel that'll be available at their website as soon as we can get it editied. We also met up with Jay Edwards the producer and editor of Aqua teen Hunger Force. He took a few minutes to discuss all the Aqua Teen happenings as well as what's up with his solo project, Stomp! Shout! Scream! a feature film of the late 60's B movie variety that's hilarious. Look for the interview to appear at www.mainia.com as soon as I Suzie gets it transcribed for me.

We have some big news on the way about some television prokects we've been working on. We don't want to jinx it by announcing too early so keep checking back! On that front we have some video posted from one of the series we are pitching. To see a few choice scenes from Geek Nation head on over to www.geeknationtv.com!

A Cheaper Way to Go on the road!

A Cheaper Way to Go, our latest short film, had a great screening at the Indie Memphis Film Festival back in October. We've submitted to several other festivals so we hope to have the film out playing several times between January and March. The film was picked up for one major festival at the screening but it's a little to soon to announce details. we'll post that asap.

We are working hard on our new TV series pitch "Geek Nation" with producer Jeff Krulik. We have hammered out the writen pitch and hired hosts so we are now filmming a demo reel to go out to networks along with the written pitch. We should have more for you on that shortly including some video!

Lots of projects in the works

A Cheaper Way to Go is still slowly pushing toward completition. We've also started accepting headshots for an upcoming TV pitch. Finally we were pitched a treatment for a short film that sounds like it'll be great. That treatment is in the script writing phase as we speak. Also, we are gearing up for a full day of independent filmmaker workshops as part of the Hypericon Sci-Fi Convention on June 24rd, 24th, and 25th. We have indie filmmakers coming from Kentucky, Alabama, and Georgia to be on panels and participate in workshops for the three day weekend. To see all the programming go here:

We can sleep when we're dead.

One last thing, for those who may not have checked it out yet we have set up a PayPal system to make it easier to purchase your own copy of Fans and Freaks! Just click the store button on the left.
